Patriot Mills Carpets the Historic DeSoto Theater.

Patriot Mills has donated carpeting for the entire venue to the Historic DeSoto Theater in Rome, GA.

“Thanks to Patriot Mills, the auditorium floors are now graced with a stunning custom-made dark burgundy carpet that resembles the silk carpets of old movie theatres. Patriot Mills manufactured the durable nylon carpet to look like old-fashioned silk and generously donated the carpet to complement our historically accurate seating,” said Michelle Picone, Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation Vice President.

The Historic DeSoto Theater is one of Downtown Rome’s most notable landmarks. Built in 1928 and modeled after New York’s Roxy, it was the very first theater in the Southeast designed and built for sound pictures. Today, it is home to the Rome Little Theater and hosts plays, community events and movies. It’s located at 530 Broad Street in Rome, GA.
